If you know someone who has recently lost their job, it’s important to lend a helping hand and provide moral support. It can be difficult for them to stay positive during this difficult time, but with your assistance, they stand a chance of coming out the other side more empowered than ever.

Remind them that there are always opportunities available. The Salesforce industry is more prominent now than ever before and actively hiring in many fields. They should take full advantage of the expansive network of professionals associated with Salesforce – from mentors to active practitioners – who could be essential sources of support and information for their search process. Additionally, many online resources, such as webinars, tutorials, and career coaching, are designed to help people transition into new jobs in the Salesforce universe. 

Encourage them to stay proactive and patient while searching for a new position: they should be sure to update their resume and cover letter regularly, look into relevant open positions daily, identify what skills they need to succeed at a potential job (which will vary depending on the role), attend meet-ups or networking events relating to Salesforce if possible, build up their portfolio or projects they have worked on related to Salesforce (or have something else prepared in case an employer asks). 

It’s also essential for them not to forget about self-care during this period; taking care of themselves mentally and emotionally is paramount. Encourage them to make time for activities that help them relax – such as going for a walk outdoors, reading books/articles about things unrelated to work/Salesforce/technology, listening to music or podcasts which bring them joy – so that when they come back refreshed, ready for the job hunt again!
