Salesforce Campaign Secret Revealed!


Most Salesforce users and Admins are under the impression that the Campaign functionality in Salesforce is reserved exclusively for email marketing initiatives.

 
While the Campaign features can certainly be used for tracking of email marketing distributions..to use it only for that would be like only using your iPhone to make calls…and nothing else.
 
The Campaign features in Salesforce can be used to track:
  • calling campaigns (performed by inside sales reps, field sales, business development teams);
  • trade show tracking:
    • incoming leads from trade shows
    • managing your company’s costs and efforts around exhibiting at a trade show
  • conferences;
  • webinars;
  • purchasing lists of leads;
  • ads – on social media, billboards, TV, radio, etc.
  • …and a whole lot more!
